저가 LSI SCSI Card는 한번도 사용을 해본적이 없어서, 한번 검색을 해보았습니다.

아래 링크의 README TEXT파일의 내용중에서 "LSI Logic EFI SCSI Setup Utility"를 사용해서 포맷하는 것을 말씀하시나요?

쭉 읽어보시면, EFI SCSI Setup Utility의 스크린방식의 메뉴 사용법에서 포맷 관련 내용이 나옵니다.

 Press Enter to low-level format the device.

 If enabled, this option allows low-level formatting on a disk drive.
 Low-level formatting will completely and irreversibly erase all data on the drive.

 Note: Formatting will default the drive to a 512-byte sector size
      even if the drive had previously been formatted to another sector size.

(이 유틸리티를 사용하려면, 아마도 적절한 SCSI CARD의 드라이버가 설치/셋팅된, "부팅 플로피디스크"(Booting Floppy Disk)로 부팅해서, 이 유틸을 실행해야 할 것 같습니다. )
